After having discussion with the venue, Str8 x TerraX Sprint Orienteering Tournament 2023 Round 9 originally scheduled on September 10, will be postponed to October 15 (Sunday) from 8am to 11am at Central. If you are unable to participate in the postponed race, please refer to the follow-up arrangements sent by TerraX Sports Club via email.
The race is now re-open for registration and the deadline is October 10 (Tuesday).

Due to adverse weather conditions, the 9th round of Str8 x TerraX Sprint Orienteering Tournament 2023 scheduled to be held today morning will be postponed. All registrations will be retained, and the date of the postponed race will be announced later. If you are unable to participate in the postponed race, the registered quota can be retained to participate in other rounds of the tournament, or transfer to any friends.

About Tournament
Well-known compass brand Str8 Compass will be co-organizing the Str8 x TerraX Sprint Orienteering Tournament 2024 with TerraX Sport Club from March to November this year. We aim to develop more possibilities of orienteering races through multi-field crossover!
The Tournament covering different regions of Hong Kong with a total of 9 rounds. With exciting high-speed sprint orienteering, participants may explore the cultural authenticity around the community while enjoying the fun of orienteering!

Family
Explorers
Teen Duo
Family class is for teams made up of 2 to 4 direct relatives. There should be at least one member aged 18 or above and another one aged 13 or below.
Explorers class is for teams made up of 2 runners, with no age limit, and suitable for novices!
Teen Duo class is for teams made up of 2 runners aged 14 or below. Course difficulty will be same as Women Teen (WB) class. [No gender limit!]

New awards for sprinting towards the finish line?! 🤯😱
May we now introduce a brand new annual award - ⚡️The Sprinter Award 👑 Runners compete for the award regardless of age but gender only. Even if you are not a frequent medalist, you can still challenge the crowd, crush your opponents with speed, and lights up your passion 😎
The Sprinter Award adopts a point system. In each round of the race, the male or female runner with the fastest accumulative time of 2-3 designated legs would score 100 points, the second place would score 80 points, up to the 40th place and 1 point for it. (For detailed score table, please refer to the tournament website). Best 6 scores out of the 12 rounds will be counted towards overall result. All classes have the same designated legs and you are eligible for competing the Sprinted Award as long as you participate 😍
It is definitely not easy to become the Sprinter Award among all the strong runners. TerraX has specially designed a golden trophy for the Sprinter Award with the bow drawing pose*, which is extremely valuable for collection. 🤩 Don't miss it if you feel you are an expert of sprinting towards the finish line 🥳

Registration

Participants can register by the following ways,
[RECOMMENDED] 1. Purchase a TerraX Race Pass and register with the exclusive link. (After a successful online registration, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
2. Register through the online registration system. (After a successful online payment, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
3. Online group registration and pay by cheque. Available for 5 competitors or more only. Discount available for 20 entries or more at once. Please contact us via email to acquire Excel entry form and discount details.
No refund shall be made after successful registration. Registration fee paid for duplicated entries will not be refunded. If the event has been cancelled due to inclement weather or Force majeure*, the event will be re-scheduled. If the event is cancelled again on re-scheduled date, the race will not be rescheduled again, and your entry fee will not be refunded.
*Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organizer and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, government policies, rejection of venue permits, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lock outs or disorder, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism.
Any subsequent amendment after successful registration will result in HK$50 administration fee.
The Tournament will accept registrations after the entry deadline until 3 days before the competition. Organizer will charge a late registration admin fee of HK$20 for each registration.
Remarks
1. Event handbook & start list will be uploaded on website: https://str8.TerraX.hk 3 days before the event. Participants must check the event information on their own.
2. SPORTident AIR+ electronic punching system will be used. Particpants may rent or use own SIAC/SI card for the race. Please use the rented card with care. If the rented control card is lost or damaged, participants are required to compensate HK$700 to the Organizer.
3. Public Liability Insurance is covered by the Organizer. Participants/Parents are advised to apply their necessary insurance.
4. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person and / or nullify his or her result due to any violation the official rules of the event. No refund will be accommodated in the case of disqualifications.
5. The Organizer reserves the final right for any amendment, including but not limited to change of competition venues, date, time and race formats. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the organizer and posted on the event’s website shall prevail.
